Meet Our Pastor: Melissa Earnest

Melissa is our Associate Pastor and Director of Family Ministries. She has been serving in ministry in various capacities since she was a teenager, but these days she can most often be found working with youth. She heads up classes in the children’s department and helps kids understand what it means to be saved, healed, delivered, and equipped so they too can be ministers of the Gospel. Melissa teaches kids that there is no “jr. Holy Spirit” and that they can learn to walk in victory and fully function in the Kingdom and God today, just as adults do!

Melissa is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) who holds two master’s degrees from Oral Roberts University: a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts in Christian Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. As an LMFT, she runs her own private practice out of Southpark Psychology in Moline, Illinois.

In addition to her full-time work as a therapist and her work in the church, Melissa’s favorite role is the one she fulfills in her home, as a wife to her husband, Jeremey, and mother to their 3 daughters: Alissa, Michaela, and Adalynn. In her free time, Melissa likes to…. ah, who are we kidding…. Melissa has no free time! But she loves Jesus all the time anyway!
